Drinking Water Substructure

COSYPRO Ltd. offers an important service to Quemú Quemú population, with the following features:

• Eight water wells located in the northen area of the town, near "Provincial Route Nº1". Three out of eight bombs, used to get water, are automatic and the rest of them work with a clock. The engines stop periodically according to water consuption.

• A 360 litres cistern is connected to a high-pressure pump wich pumps water to the chlorinator.

• A tank with a capacity of 100 thousand litres, from wich water is distributed to each consumer's home.

• Offices situated in Alvear and Spain Streets (open from 8:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m and from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m)

• A room called "Edelmiro Fernández", is used for different activities by shareholders and institutions of the town.

Staff

Mr. Juan Morales is the chief of this section and there is s person working under his control. The technical consultant is Mr. Carlos Schultz, Specialist in Hydrolytic Resources.

Water Control

Physycal-Chemical and bacteriological analysis are done quaterly. Water samples are taken from the drinking water wells and the high-pressure tank and then the samples are tested by Corpico laboratory staff. The analysis results are shown in Drinking Water Analysis.
